2010POG Campaign-POG Story
Deng Yunjun's family has only 4 members, he and his wife, who only finished primary school education, and a grandson and a granddaughter. He is 62 years old and his wife is 58 years old. Their son and daughter-in-law are working in other place as migrant workers. The old couple have to take care of the grandchildren.

Before joining Heifer's project, the family is suffering from poverty and they don't have to find the way out. It was Heifer gave them the idea. They got 5 goats from Heifer project, as well as trainings.

Through carefully raising, the family got benefited from goat raising. Now they have 12 goats in barn. During 3 project years, they got 28,000 Yuan from goat production, in which they earned 12,600 Yuan in 2009.

Deng said, "My family was starving before Heifer project came to our village. My family got a lot from this project including animals, trainings. Now, we built new goat barn and biogas. Life is getting better and better. We appreciate Heifer project."

Heifer's project brought the family not only income, but also the confidence for future development. We believe the old couple will have better future.
